Hahn Automotive Warehouse, Inc. to Acquire

Carparts Distribution Center, Inc.

Rochester, New York, December 3, 2021:  We are pleased to announce that Hahn Automotive Warehouse, Inc., a Rochester, New York based corporation (“Hahn”) and Carparts Distribution Center, Inc., a Plaistow, New Hampshire based company (“Carparts”), have signed a definitive agreement for Hahn to acquire Carparts.  Both Hahn and Carparts are warehouse distributors of aftermarket automotive parts.  Stan Lewis, Carparts’ President, will continue with the company following the completion of the transaction.  Terms of the transaction, which is expected to close on or about December 27, 2021, were not disclosed.

Carparts is a warehouse distributor of aftermarket automotive parts with its main warehouse location in Plaistow, New Hampshire, along with twenty (20) jobber/retail stores located in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine.  Hahn and Carparts are both members of the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, Inc., a leading international buying and marketing association. Hahn decided to acquire Carparts based on Carparts’ performance as a well-managed company with a commitment to growth and customer service in the New England market.

Maggie Maleno, long time shareholder of Carparts, said, “I am thrilled our family business is going from my family to another family business.  It was important for my employees to have a welcoming place to work.” Carparts’ President, Stan Lewis, stated, “We are extremely pleased to be joining Hahn to continue with the business of the combined Hahn/Carparts entity.  This combination provides significant opportunities for growth for our customers, including enhanced sales and marketing efforts throughout the New England area.”

About Hahn Automotive Warehouse, Inc. Hahn is a distributor of automotive aftermarket parts through its 20 strategically located distribution centers to 60 Advantage Auto Stores and over 2,000 independent jobbers, in the Midwest and along the Eastern Seaboard.  Hahn also owns and operates its wholly-owned subsidiary, Prime Automotive Parts Co., Inc., with its main warehouse in Glendale, New York, and 25 pick-up warehouses located in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.

Hahn Automotive 2018 National Sales Conference

March is the perfect time to have all of our managers and sales staff attend our national sales conference in Rochester.  The weather is cold, business doesn’t hit full stride until spring and it is good to participate in some higher education.

The conference started out with some excellent computer training. Brushing up on the latest technology to interact with our customer base pays dividends all year long.  Following that was a very inspiring presentation by Keni Thomas. In 1993 Thomas was deployed to Mogadishu, Somalia with the 3rd Ranger Battalion as part of a special operations package Task Force Ranger.  The battle that followed was recounted in the highly successful book and movie “Blackhawk Down”. His message of “Train as you Fight – Fight as you Train” epitomizes the Ranger motto, “Rangers Lead the Way”.

New this year, the vendor booth show portion of the event was moved to the spacious Dome Center ten miles south of Rochester. This facility offered the room needed for our vendors to spread out and interact with our employees.

On Saturday there was a very informative panel discussion with Eli Futerman, Danny Chessin, Arie Schochat and Josh Futerman. Questions were submitted from the audience and moderator, Clint Bentley served them up to the panel. It was insightful and informative at the same time.

the afternoon brought presentations from some of our key vendors. BBB, Deka, Bosch, Gates, WIX Filters, Tenneco, Dorman, Standard Motor Products and Federal Mogul all brought their best information and sales ideas to the crowd so they will all be ready for the spring selling season.

The event ends on a high note with the awards banquet. Top honors included Standard Motor Products receiving Vendor of the Year and Jeff Bonner receiving the Dave Dunn award for largest sales growth over the  previous year – just to name a few. Congratulations to all of the award winners for their hard work and dedication.

Thank you.
